So i just got back from my holidays yesterday and i actually wanted one of those nonslip travel cushion things i remember seein on dragons den…. 4hours on the plane and then a coach trip and nout but my jumper to lean my head on : /
does anyone know if they are out yet?

I signed up a couple of days ago for http://www.unitnews.co.uk and the feedback from users has been hugely positive.

It’s a great idea and I’m really impressed that the BBC are opening up and engaging with non-traditionl media outlets.

I’m probably being overly cautious on how I’m implementing the content!

Right. There are times when you want to get everything from the BBC as it happens, but there’s other times when you want to focus in on particular aspects, or even different news sources relatively simultaneously. That’s when a dedicated application for reading RSS on your phone will really come in handy.

This River concept will be great for a lot of people and will offer a compelling alternative to the carriers portals. Sounds like a sound and good conclusion to me. If RSS works, I’m all for it. The main point is to syndicate your content, but it is also important to evaluate which content you syndicate it with, especially if you do it as static files lying around in your file system, where conversion from one format to another can cause data loss.

For what RSS was made for, it works fine for the most part, and if you or your users don’t have any problems with it, it’s ey-okey. But if you start out with a blank piece of paper and a new set of crayons to draw with, I see no good reason not to choose Atom over RSS. The support is already there and Atom will make everything easier in the long run.

Now that the show is over, could you please ensure that this series is repeated again at some point. I would love to watch it again.
